"I'm a network" versus "I'm a hierarchy"

By Harry Klein - Posted on 26 August 2009

Gary Koelling, is the Senior Manager of Social technology at Best Buy.

His presentation "An open, social approach" is a must-view for anyone involved with social media and dare I say, anyone involved with communicating with another human being on any level and using any platform.

Don't miss slide 13 where Koelling juxtaposes two figurines - one a network and one a hierarchy - in a way that pays homage to "I'm a MAC and I'm a PC". The "network" says "I do, create, innovate change and much more." The "hierarchy" says "I...uh...manage."

'Nuff said.
